Player Expectations

Pro Style Baseball Training

Welcome to our Player Expectation Page

Pro Style Baseball Training is unique in many ways.  Although, we do provide a supportive, relaxed, and fun learning environment for our Baseball or Softball players, we do have Player Expectations.

Unlike most private instructors, I will not charge for a lesson if you don’t see results. It’s explained in my guarantee to PSBT ball players

We also welcome parents to join the practice

That’s right! We do this so you can see and understand what is being taught, and give support to our lessons, while at home.

We Consider the Parents Who Don’t Play The Sport

We go the extra distance to maintain contact with our ball players by sending them custom tips, recaps of their lesson, and when needed, a video of the lesson, so players (and parents) can refer to the video to reinforce proper mechanics.

We Have Fun, But We Do Have Expectations

To maintain the integrity of our service, and to ensure you and your player have the best experience possible, we have important guidelines to follow, to maximize our time together.  If your player is under the age of 18, please review our Player Expectations with them to make sure PSBT is a good fit for everyone.

DO:

…show up with a willingness to learn

…be supportive of others involved with your training

…be respectful to other players property when using their equipment

…show up before your scheduled practice time to “get loose” to maximize instruction time

…bring your hustle and willingness to work

…bring water, or any sports drink to keep you hydrated NO ENERGY DRINKS

…make sure you have reliable transportation to get you to and from your training sessions

…bring what helps you prepare for practice.  iPods and other music players are fine, but you will be 100% responsible for their well-being.

…bring your Player Medical Form form for PSBT to keep on record

DO NOT:

…show up tired, hungry or whiny to practice.

…show up with a bad attitude.

…show up without the necessary equipment needed for your session.

…show up in shorts. Always come with the proper apparel.

…bring broken or unreliable equipment to practice.

…show up late.  The time missed, will still count towards the lesson.

…bring anything or anyone, that will distract you during instruction.

…laugh at others or embarrass them for trying.

…be a danger to yourself or others, if you are, you will be asked to leave

Ideal for kids new to the sport

In my twenty years of playing Softball and Baseball, one thing my dad taught me was how to have fun.  So, if your young ball player is new to baseball or softball, I can introduce them to the basic fundamentals, rules and safety.

“I focus on teaching your child the fun and basic fundamentals to the game”

Areas of Focus:

  • Beginner Softball/Baseball

  • Throw, Catch, Hit Fundamentals

  • Fun Games to build skills and confidence

  • Rules and etiquette to the game

  • Warm-ups and exercise

  • How to have fun! fun!! fun!!!

The First 30 minutes is FREE!

Every player is unique.  Regardless of age and/or skill set, every ball player seems to process information differently.  With that said, we  like to use the first 30 minutes of the first lesson to assess abilities, and get to know the ball player, and the player goals they want to accomplish.

This is not a try-out. It is a fun, light-impact workout that our PSBT students have always enjoyed.
Parents and siblings are welcomed to join in on the fun, so long as the player’s attention remains with the instructor.
